THE MUSIC
Ariah uses traditional mantras sung in Sanskrit and other languages as well as her own channeled devotional songs in English as the vehicle to help others remember their true natures. The words are very powerful and when one sings along they can open the heart to the deep places of joy we all possess.
THE HEALER
Besides using her voice, Ariah does clairvoyant readings and hands-on healing methods where you co-create your healing with Ariah. She connects with your guides and higher self to bring in the healing you are ready to receive. Essentially, you are healing yourself, and Ariah helps move out of the way whatever is necessary to allow you to receive what you are ready to receive. Ariah is an empath and has the ability to see and feel what is in the way of you becoming who you really are as a sovereign person. A healing might entail reading past lives, cutting cords, sharing blissful energy, removing dense energy, repairing the physical, astral, etheric, mental, spiritual body, calming the nervous system, whole brain activating, and many, many other systems of healing.
Private Healings are $100 per hour.
Sessions are usually 1 and a half hours.
Please check her tour schedule for concerts with sacred music, as well as workshops.
Why The Name Ariah Firefly?
Not only is Ariah
an artist, but she has explored many spiritual traditions. In many
other cultures, it is common to take a spiritual name when you have
made it through a rites of passage. In her Egyptian art, Ariah changed
her name to Firefly which represents her ability to fly above the
"fire" or challenges of life. She uses this name in only specific
situations in her life: her music career, and those wishing to receive
the alternative aspects of her healing work. As a person training to
be a therapist, and when she engages with the mainstream world, she
goes by her birth name which is Velasquez. This is because it is
not widely understood in the United States about the need for names
that have animals or interesting meanings and is sometimes interpreted
as "woo woo" thus applying judgment that the person with the name is
not grounded. In Native traditions and other parts of the world it is
quite the opposite. However, one thing about mastering living here on
this planet is that we must be able to weave in and out of all worlds
to truly integrate and love all. There you go! The answer to a question
many have asked for 12 years.
PLEASE NOTE:
ARIAH HONORS AND ACCEPTS PEOPLE OF ALL TRADITIONS AND RELIGIOUS BACKGROUNDS. SHE USES HER COUNSELING AND SKILLS TO ADDRESS PEOPLES INDIVIDUAL BELIEFS AND RESPECTS ALL. EVERY TRADITION HAS MERIT AND VALUE.
BLESSINGS.

Ariah Firefly is a singer from the heart. She was born to sing in Brooklyn, New York. Hence the name of her first full length album: "Brooklyn Dreams". Currently, Ariah is living in Encinitas, CA setting up a tour for her album produced by Thomas Barquee: One Blissful Dream. It is a kirtan/devotional CD to uplift consciousness. It is also a divine transmission for awakening. Besides Ariah's original project, Ariah is a healer using ancient Egyptian methods as well as ancient Taoist alchemy and healing.
Ariah has had a history of being a professional songwriter and performing for years professionally live and in the studio - jazz, soul and pop music. She was an opening act for greats such as Michael Franti, Phoebe Snowe, Jesse Collin Young, and Wynton Marsalis. She is now following her true passion and quest in life which is to perform music now solely for the purpose of activating bliss and oneness in all who listen.
THE VOICE
Ariah spent many years training to be a
vocalist. She went from musical theater training to classical, jazz,
and it wasn't until she finally studied world music with Marie A
formerly of Zap Mamma, where her voice truly began to open and soar.
Through
a series of Tibetan Buddhist teachings and transmissions in her
sessions with Marie and meditations invoking Padmasambhava, Ariah's
voice "woke up" after several years of hoarseness due to emotional and
deeper traumas. She was eventually led to Mount Shasta to study
Pleaidian Lightwork from Amorah Quan Yin, at an ancient Egyptian based
mystery school. About 8 years passed as Ariah began to develop deeply
clairvoyant abilities and re-awaken to the bliss and oneness of her
true nature. Much of Ariah's spiritual growth also came from the Diksha
oneness blessing of Amma and Bhagavan as well as through
learning Kunlun, a bliss practice and path of enlightenment from Max
Christensen, Taoist master teacher and Tibetan Lama. Currently,
Ariah's is focusing on psychotherapy techniques in a Masters Degree
program at National University as well as Kundalini Yoga. Ariah is on this path from her
deep desire to dedicate her life in service to all that is as a
devotional singer and healer of the soul.
