After taking a break to complete her own album, Ariah is once again taking students for voice lessons. Ariah has been teaching and coaching voice on a college level since 2000 in NYC and LA. She has an extremely professional vocal ability which has been utilized nationally and internationally, in studios such as SONY on commercials for products like "Avance". She has been graced to sing jazz with Wynton Marsalis, pop with Phoebe Snow, Rock with Jesse Collin Young, world music with Marie of Zap Mamma to name a few. She is a sought-after vocalists for the studio due to her versatility, range, and professionalism. Her method of teaching allows students to achieve whatever vocal style they are seeking, while maintaining and uncovering their true voice.
Ariah had the gift of losing her voice for 2 years when she was 17, which allowed her to go into deep research on the physiology of the voice with Ray Smolover of The Julliard School. Her techniques that she teaches are the result of a compilation of 21 years of research of the voice and vocal cords and she uses them to help the student find the keys to successfully achieve a wider vocal range, fuller voice tone, pitch, and strength.
Her vocal lessons incorporate meditation and yogic breathing, as well as learning songs and performance skills. Her lessons are unique as she works with you holistically and in a highly spiritual way to uncover all blocks to the voice, such as hoarseness. This method helps to keep the throat channel open there is a sense in which she is a vocal healer. Studying with Ariah will allow you to seriously grow as a vocalist as well as to heal any damage to the voice through the vocal strengthening and holistic healing methods that Ariah uses.

Lessons are held in her home in TAMPA, FL. 3 Day Voice retreats are available for people out of town. They consist of 2 hour sessions a day for three days at $300. You must provide your own food, lodging, and transportation.

ABOUT VOICE LESSONS
Lessons are $60-100/per hour sliding scale and are done out of Ariah’s private home in Encinitas, CA. Here are some instructions designed to help you get the most out of your lessons with Ariah:
- Bring a tape recorder, water, an open heart, and open mind.
- Wear comfortable clothing.
- Arrive ON-TIME (see arrival policy below).
- You will be asked to sit cross-legged on the floor unless you have knee or back problems.
- The first 20 minutes of the session is spent learning to breathe, as well as connecting with the healing of your throat chakra, body, mind and spirit.
- Then time will be spent warming the voice up with Ariah’s very subtle techniques that awaken, strengthen, and stretch the vocal chords.
- During the next 40 minutes of the lesson, you will be asked to remain standing (if you are able) and you will use a piece of music of your choice that you have prepared to sing for coaching purposes. (If you bring the music, Ariah will play piano for you. You may also bring a CD with the background karaoke track to be played.)
- Ariah advises that you book at least 1.5 hour lessons for the maximum benefit. You will see, time flies!
To schedule a session, email Ariah's assistant ariah@ariahmusic.com. The best lesson times are between the hours of 10am to 7pm (which is the last lesson slot). Ariah accepts check, cash or credit cards.
PRICES FOR LESSONS:
- One hour - $60-100
- One and one-half hours - $90-150
- Two hours - $120-200
- 5-pack: 5 one-hour lessons - $275-$475 ($5 discount for every lesson)
- 10-pack: 10 one-hour lessons - $500-900 ($10 discount for every lesson)
CANCELLATION POLICY:
Lessons must be cancelled at least 48 hours before the scheduled lesson. If you fail to cancel within 48 hours, half of the lesson price is due, since Ariah could have scheduled another student in your time slot.
ARRIVAL AND PAYMENT POLICY:
In order to keep a relationship based on respect and integrity:
- Lessons will be booked for an hour, an hour and a half, or two hours.
- The lesson begins and ends at the time agreed upon.
- If you arrive late, the lesson still ends at the scheduled time and you will be responsible for the full lesson price.
